scrapbook: art journaling project

52 weeks of pagan art journaling, scrapbooked:

It's not a spell, nor a recipe, but I couldn't not do a page about this project!

Sneak peak bonus... part of my altar table is visible in this shot. (The page is covering the rest)! I know, I'm such a tease!  :P

At this point I should probably admit something: I'm working on learning my own scrapbook style. I'm not really sure what it is yet. So if you notice that my style/pages shift a lot, it's because I'm trying things out, trying to figure out what works best for me. On top of which, I'm challenging myself to work through all the product I currently have because my craft room is a little out of control!

So far, while I know that I love the shabby chic look, I simply CANNOT pull it off cause I just don't know how to pull it all together successfully. At the moment, I'm working on minimalism. I think the page above may be a little too minimalist though.

For those of you out there who do scrapbook, how did you find your style? Or do you have a style? Or a go to technique?

  1. You ARE a tease! I love seeing others' altars.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to read the list of topics for 52 weeks on this scrapbook page or not, I kinda like the surprise each week. I was able to avert my eyes after reading about halfway down. LOL

  2. ah, but this is where I admit to being an even bigger tease... I've already changed topics from the original list... so you never really know!

  3. aw... ya little tricky tease. Partially showing and then doing the old change-a-roo! *biggrin* Love it though. Yes minimalist - but when you have a lot of info... that seems to be best.

  4. I find that vintage style fits me best, but I mostly just go with the flow. My style turns out different everytime but I love trying new techniques. I am ready to upload some of the weekly projects. I wanted to do more writing on this and found it difficult.

  5. yay, can't wait to see what you've created Sara! I visited your blog but didn't see any scrapbook pages, maybe I didn't look hard enough, but I'd love to see what type of pages you create!
