etsy artist feature: SueSueSueCrafts

I've been thinking a lot lately about things to revamp my altar space with and I've started noticing that I really have a very Asian (Buddhist) inspired space on my altar. Maybe I need to add a little Celtic into the mix.

With that in mind, I started trolling Etsy to find myself a Green Man statue of sorts and here's what I found that I could see adding to my altar:

What do you think? Do you have a Green Man on your altar? As a lit geek and artsy girl, I'm particularly partial to the Green Man, which is found throughout western Europe on churches and buildings. Learning about the Green Man was also part of my early awakening onto this path, so it feels fitting to honour him on my altar.

But would it be a bit of a conflict? What do you think?

In any case, I'm a fan of this piece!

  2. I love the Green Man. I think it would look wonderful by an altar. I have been looking for a Green Man too, but have not found anything that calls to me yet.

  3. I think this Green Man is amazing and would be a wonderful addition to any altar. I also believe any form of spirituality you display, whether it be Asian, Celtic, Norse, or any mix of paths are all good as long as you feel it in your soul.

  5. thanks! I'm considering my options still. There's a certain amount of synchronicity to having a green man on my altar, as it was studying art history and discovering the green man, and western history in general, in high school that really started me down this path. It feels nice to pay homage to that in some way.

  6. Hi Faye,

Wow, love the green man mask. I have a green man art doll on my altar that I created.
What's interesting is that I was moved to create him right before I began learning all about him, synchronicity at work!

  8. I have a green man on the wall over my altar. I think whatever you like and makes you happy is good. It's your space after all, right?
