I think the art of letter writing has fallen out of fashion and yet, there are some of us who still love letters. Here's how it works. You leave a comment and others visit the site. If they're interested in finding a penpal, they scroll through the listings and contact the person(s) they'd like to exchange letters with. The 2 of you make arrangements (exchange info/coordinates) and away we go. I cannot guarantee that you'll find a penpal, nor that they will write for years, but I would ask anyone who is interested in joining the list, be serious about the idea of having a snail mail penpal. If you find that you've received enough penpals, you can come back and comment again, saying you're good for now, or contact me and I'll remove the comment listing your information. When and if you're ready to join the fray again, drop another comment into the list.
Rules/Guidelines/Tips for safety:
1. If you want to participate in this exchange you must create a profile so that the person you contact can get a sense of who you are.

General blurb: OK, I know that I wrote this questionnaire and now I’m already kicking myself for having asked this question. I hate this question cause I never know what to say!
Here goes: I’m an eclectic, artsy, English teacher. I love books, all kinds, and art, most kinds. I listen to alternative and indie music and love traveling the world even though I haven’t done nearly enough of it. But if you ever want to talk about travel lust, I’m your gal! I also like pretty things, almost obsessively now that I’m mentally planning out my new home décor! I speak English and French, can write both passably well (the English more so than the French). I’m Wiccan but heavily influenced by Yogic and Buddhist philosophies. I believe in the inherent goodness of people and get along with most people unless their hypocrisies drive me nuts. I’m a little yuppie, a little hippie crunchy. I like making things and trying to be as eco as I can. I have no kids but my husband and I are planning to start trying in the not so distant future.
Other information: I teach English and am I’m a bit of a grammar snob. I don’t care that your grammar is perfect, but I’m a big word, long winded person who cares about spelling and will be mentally going through your letter with a red pen if you’re not a decent writer who knows the difference between lose and loose, I before E, etc. I know it’s awful, but it’s true. I admit that I have a grammar problem.

I write - letters, short stories, novels, sometimes poetry. I've been a pagan-witch ever since I was a young teenager (my mother was a witch) and I'm definitely eclectic in my path of spirituality. I've always loved world mythologies, faeries, mermaids, etc...I'm always interested in meeting other kindred spirits. Well lets see...
I'm sort of returning to the pagan path (many of my friends would argue I didn't really leave) and sort of starting over....except with the experience of being a practicing for over a decade this time. I've always been a solitary, though I have done some group rituals. I hate trying to label my path but basically I am a eclectic solitary green/folk witch for lack of a better term.
I'm also an artist, crafter, and knitter. I love horror movies, zombies, Japanese culture, and origami. I love to write letters, learn about other places, and make new friends. I live with my 6 year old daughter, my boyfriend, his 7 year old son, and our two cats Pogo and Jasmine. And if that isn't enough I am currently working on a degree in electrical engineering.

I sort of hate about-me thingies. 1) I never know quite how to describe myself in a way that is interesting & meaningful. I am just... well... me. I contain quirks just like the next person. I have loves & pet peeves, interests & whatever else. 2) About-me things are kind of done-to-death in an age where every man & his proverbial dog has a web page or profile. I know, I know. Maybe it's true that there's nothing new under the sun. There's only so many ways you can re-invent the wheel. When you stop to think about it, the very act of trying to be an individual ironically enough sticks you into a group of other non-conformists. So can you really escape being part of the herd, any herd? Nonetheless, I've always valued my creativity & pride myself on my desire to think for myself.
I guess the best way to get to know me... & thus get a description of me... is simply to talk to me. I may be grumpy, I may be weird... but I am honest (perhaps to a fault- I tell it like it is more often than not). So if genuine friendship is your thing, feel free to wander by for a chat.
Insofar as things pagan go, tho... I've been openly practising since I was 12 & have followed a specifically Hellenic Path since roughly '97. For all intents & purposes... I am the priest of both Aphrodite Urania & Artemis... if this doesn't fit your definition of typically Hellenic or the norm, take it up w/ Them. I've learned the hard way not to argue... if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck... etc etc...

Greetings from New Zealand, the land down under. I love that I now have the opportunity to make some neat like minded friends :))
I am married with two teenage boys. We have just moved rurally to 20 acres and I am so looking forward to turning this into a very magical property.

I'm 22 years old, a mother, and a wife. I write, read, knit, crochet, blog, watch movies, and bake a lot. I'm a huge horror movie fan, I like all sorts of music, I'm a "Potterhead," and a pescatarian. If I had to give my path a name it would probably be Cottage Witchery. Books are probably my favorite thing in the world (after my family and friends), and I've been on my ever evolving Pagan path for about 13 years now. I'm sure I could say more, but that's all that comes to mind right now, so feel free to ask questions!

I recently discovered Paganism (about a year ago). I feel like I've been a witch my whole life, but I'm discovering more about my spiritual path and what works for me. I've had an interest in astrology, numerology and tarot cards a little longer. I love to write, listen to music, paint, journal, take photos and cook. I'm a vegetarian, but I'm trying to go vegan. I'm currently in college and I'm studying art. I'd love to connect with other people that are Pagan.

*sighs* I sort of hate about-me things. I never know quite how to describe myself in a way that is interesting & meaningful. I am just... well... me. I contain quirks just like the next person. I have loves & pet peeves, interests & whatever else.
I guess the best way to get to know me... & thus get a description of me... is simply to talk to me. I may be grumpy, I may be weird... but I am honest (perhaps to a fault- I tell it like it is more often than not). So if genuine friendship is your thing, feel free to wander by for a chat.
But to get things started... some basic facts. One of the things you'll learn about me real quick is that music is a huge part of my life. I am completely passionate about metal. I thrive on going to gigs & meeting bands.
Another thing that makes up a huge part of what I'm on about is... I am a devout Hellenic Pagan. ( that is to say, I honour the Gods of Hellas/Greece ) & have strong interest in the paranormal.
Other stuff... I'm into divination, reading, writing songs/fiction/poetry, art ( I scribble a little ), spending time at the beach & in my garden, cooking, reading, going to the cinema, I've been learning guitar on & off for about a year, more.

General blurb about yourself (what do you want us to know, give potential penpals an idea of who they'll be writing to): I was raised in a christian fundamentalist homeschooling family, but left home and the belief system in order to study at university and be able to live my own life. I still love my family very much, but some of their beliefs are really messed up! I'm now living with a wonderful man who has been a practicing witch for 30 years, and we are planning to get hitched sometime in the future.
At the moment I'm studying for a degree in English Literature and Anthropology, and my particular interest is poetry. I want to continue on to study my Masters in English, and hopefully my Doctorate!
I consider myself an eclectic witch, with an interest in ceremonial magic, chaos magic and folk practises. I'm also a hobby herbalist. I am slightly crunchy, I make my own bread and shop local organic, but I still use pads instead of mooncups :-P

General blurb: I kind of a weird person--hahaha! I'm pretty much a loner; I have no friends right now in my life (my BF says I'm too picky...maybe), but I do have a boyfriend I live with, a Chihuahua named Tico and a Siamese cat named Jesper. Well...
I am married with two little boys, 6 years and 2 years old. Former Army brat and now currently an Army wife. I'm originally from Michigan, but I was raised in Texas. I am a classic southern bell. Southern twang and all. I've been married for about 3 years now and I love my husband very much. He is an active duty soldier in the Army therefore we move around quite a bit. We are currently stationed in Hawaii!!
I love to dance, lyrical, jazz, contemporary, you name it...I dance it. Or at least I will attempt to. I love being crafty and making things even though I'm not very good at it. I grew up in a very musical household so I listen to pretty much everything.
I've never really practiced in any particular path. I'm very eclectic and I don't turn my nose up at anyone's faith. I would love to chat with others and share experiences. The military lifestyle tends to leave you short in the friends category. So I am always open to meeting new people and am always looking for someone to talk with.

Hi, My name is Julia and I am 53 years young. I am happily married for a second time, (the first husband being my best friend!). Mmmm. I always have trouble with this part. I am married with two beautiful cats. I am currently attending a Professional School for my Masters in Psychology. I love living life and exploring nature. I am well traveled and even lived in Germany for 2 and 1/2 years. I like to say that life is a journey and being that 2011 closed one chapter of my journey and 2012 is the start of a new chapter I am always happy to meet and make new friends along the way. I speak and write English and I am currently trying to learn Dutch and can communicate in it but it is very elementary. My German is a bit rusty and so is my Spanish.
I am Green Craft Traditional Wiccan and have been very active in my faith for over 10 years now. I practice Chan meditation, work with Tarot and runes, and enjoy chanting and dancing.
